A Ladder to the Sky

The idea of the installation is the power of human labor and intellect, because the ladder has been known for more than 7000 years. This wise symbolizes Ukraine now — thanks to work and determination, the country will get out of a difficult situation and recover. People still use it in our villages, hand-assembled wooden ladders help to harvest crops and work on the land. This symbol is especially close to Ukraine, as a country connected with nature and rich in fertile lands, wonderful people working on this land. A cross is formed from two such ladders. This sculpture combines two powerful signs — a cross and a ladder. This newly created symbol also reveals the potential of humanity and, in this case, Ukraine — it is not assembled from tree branches, as before, but from new materials, LEDs are used for lighting, which demonstrates  a country that is modern, dynamic and progressive, striving for a beautiful future. This new created symbol is understandable and close to all countries of the world.
