Portrait from the series. In 2010, long before the mandatory requirements of QR codes in 2021 in all countries, the «Portraits» project was created. Where the personalities of famous politicians are encoded with a two-dimensional barcode (QR code). The specific graphics of the QR code depersonalize politicians and make them, in fact, the same. By this, the artist emphasizes that all politicians, in fact, are very similar and do not differ in any way for ordinary citizens. During the exhibition, people will be able, To use their phones, to determine who is depicted on the canvas. On this artwork, the new president of Ukraine at that time, Viktor Yanukovych, was painted. More than half of the country’s inhabitants did not want to see him.
In the exhibition space, works can be exhibited in pairs of candidates competing in the elections.
